‘Over time, there is only one alternative to risk management, and that is crisis management. Crisis management is significantly more costly, time-consuming, and disruptive.
Opportunity and risk are two sides of the same coin. Risk management programs are designed at their core to minimize deviation from expected outcomes. The opportunities and threats posed by disruptive forces and events create or eliminate long-term value. Enhancing adaptive governance enables business leaders to provide more impactful guidance and transform uncertainty into a sustainable advantage.
This session is designed to provide business leaders, front-line managers and key employees a fresh perspective on what should be included in every organization’s integrated risk management (IRM) program. It will provide the latest thought leadership on how to raise the Risk IQ of the entire organization. The program focuses on ten critical risk management organizational capabilities. Attendees will gain an understanding of the significant correlation between these methods and the achievement of the organization’s strategic goals.
- Understand the value, inherent and residual risks to assets that directly impact an organization’s ability to achieve its strategic goals.
- Understand the interdependencies across business processes, corporate culture, stakeholders, and disruptive events most likely to cause deviation from expected outcomes.
- Set a top-down strategy that promotes and rewards a ‘risk-aware’ culture
