We’ll Put Our Money Where Our Mouth Is, Thank You.
At the Christian Chamber of Commerce, we talk about creating Kingdom Commerce—doing business with people and companies that share our values. This approach ensures that our dollars flow into Kingdom initiatives and create a multiplier effect for Kingdom advancement.
Recently, a news headline caught my attention. A coffeehouse in Orlando faced a backlash for donating coffee to a Choices Women’s Clinic event.
At first I thought about supporting this business through the viral attack—something familiar from these flash mobs that cancel, deplatform, bully, and run good businesses out of cities for supporting causes promoting a Biblical worldview.
My plan changed when I read their public response to the online protest. Their statement read:
“It was brought to our attention this weekend that one of the organizations we provided, and were subsequently hired to deliver, coffee tanks to in early 2023 was involved in the recent change in our abortion laws. We don’t support this and the fracturing effect in our community that has followed. It goes totally against our values and goal of simply bringing people from all walks of life together. This was not ok and it’s our job to thoroughly vet any organization we support in this way. We are committed to doing better going forward and we are truly sorry for any hurt we caused.”
This value-aligned vetting process mentioned by the coffeehouse should not be one-sided. It’s our job to “thoroughly vet any organization we support.” We know of a place WAY hotter than their coffee! It’s time to shake off the rose-colored glasses and notice what’s really happening around us.
As we reflect on Memorial Day, we honor those who died in service to our country and think of the heroes of faith who sacrificed their lives to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. And, of course, we remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who gave his life so that we can experience the ultimate freedom.
Our nation is becoming a post-Christian society. There is an attack on our babies, children, faith, and our ability to declare that we are Christ-following believers without repercussions.
We need to bend the curve—and we can do that with leadership from unwavering Kingdom-minded leaders brave enough to step out from the crowd and unite the Lord’s army. We need more heroes!
We have reached 175 member businesses in our directory, and the Christian Chambers in the coalition have reached record numbers as well. Our members understand that they are created to serve God first, with priorities of God, family, and business, in that order—something counter to the beliefs of the world.
If we want to see a change in this world, it is time to get on the front line and do more. We need to stand behind and stand up for those who share our biblical values.

Then let’s put our money where our mouths are.
