Why We Brought the Eyes of Faith Vision Plan to the US Christian Chamber at SWC
There are moments in business when the timing, the audience, and the mission all align at once.
Looking back, we believe the road to SWC 2026 was one of those moments.
Amy and I were driving from Orlando to Tampa to meet with our partner involved in the new Eyes of Faith Vision Plan when we heard an advertisement on Joy FM for an upcoming conference hosted by the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce.
We looked at each other and said, “There’s a U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce? We should launch the vision plan there.”
The more we thought about it, the more we realized this was exactly where the plan belonged.
Since our founding in 2009, Eyes of Faith has operated as the only Christian eyewear company in the optical industry. For years, we’ve exhibited at optical events across the country, often feeling a bit isolated and, for lack of a better term, like we were “the weird ones.”
Then came SWC.
Surrounded by Christian business leaders who understood that faith and business belong together, it felt more like a beautiful homecoming.
We have a family!
One of the first responses we heard over and over was, “Wait… there’s a Christian eyewear company? How cool is that?”
From there, we shared the Eyes of Faith Vision Plan. Everyone understood our premise that Eye Health is Whole Health, but the deeper story behind “Get an Exam, Give an Exam” connected most strongly.
Every exam redeemed through the plan helps support vision care at the Eyes of Hope Vision Centre in Ghana, West Africa. In a place where many families cannot afford even basic eye care, something as simple as an eye exam can change a life.
When I stood in Ghana on October 23, 2023, cutting the ribbon on the Eyes of Hope Vision Centre, it was the greatest day in our company’s history. That experience changed us and reinforced our commitment to do everything we can to expand access to vision care across Africa.
We already have the next location picked out: Nairobi, Kenya.
One of the most encouraging moments at SWC came from conversations with benefit consultants and business leaders who immediately saw the bigger picture. They recognized that this was more than a vision plan. It was a practical way to connect business decisions with Kingdom impact. Those conversations helped shape our future direction and reminded us of the power of ROR — Return on Relationships.
What began with a providential radio advertisement became a homecoming, a new opportunity, and a reminder that God often prepares the room long before we arrive.
We are grateful to the U.S. Christian Chamber for creating that room.
Join the Movement. It’s only the beginning.
