AI, Clutter, and the Calling that Still Stands

A recent Harvard University study revealed that in 2025, the top two reasons people use AI are:

1) Therapy or companionship
2) Organizing their lives

I launched my organizing business in 1978 with a $7 ad in a New York newspaper—long before there was such a thing as an “organizing industry.”

When clients struggled to let go of items blocking their progress, I began asking questions. Inevitably, those conversations uncovered emotional losses experienced earlier in life.

What began as a service to help people declutter their homes and offices eventually revealed a profound truth.

After decades of helping business professionals get organized, I discovered the most effective solution wasn’t a system or a strategy—it was their walk with God. My life’s message became clear:

Clutter is postponed decisions and the most critical—and eternal—decision we’ll ever make is answering the question:

“Who is Jesus?”

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” – Proverbs 3:6

When I married my husband 38 years ago, I could have closed my business. Instead, I chose to keep building—not for personal fame or fortune, but because I longed to be a Kingdom philanthropist. My dream has always been to fund ministries that build orphanages, hospitals, and schools around the world.

Despite decades of effort, I haven’t yet reached the level of financial giving I envisioned. From a worldly perspective, that may look like failure. But I’ve come to believe this:

Obedience is success in God’s economy.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9

As the world turns to AI for companionship and clarity, I believe God is still calling His people to something deeper: real connection rooted in eternal truth. Systems matter—but only when they serve a Kingdom purpose.

As you lead your business, take inventory—not just of your “stuff,” but of the postponed decisions cluttering your spirit. What has God asked you to act on that you’ve been putting off?

Choose one thing. Make a plan.

And watch as peace, productivity, and purpose begin to return.
