This Shift is Reshaping the Marketplace—Find Out Why
In a keynote address at the Texas Policy Summit, a gathering focused on faith and policy, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick spoke about the importance of a Christ-centered government and how it is driving people to Texas by the thousands every day. He stressed we must take hold of our country—a sentiment that deeply resonates with me as president of the US Christian Chamber of Commerce. I believe we do this by reclaiming the economic landscape through Kingdom Commerce.
This isn’t just an idea; it’s a proven strategy. When I led the Central Florida Christian Chamber of Commerce, I talked with business owners who relocated to or launched a business in Central Florida based on the strength of an established Christian business community. The Christian Chamber is a powerful economic development engine for values-aligned businesses.
We’ve seen this impact nationwide:
- West Ohio Christian Chamber of Commerce was born when a Christian business owner became fed up with his local chamber promoting an adult store.
- San Diego Christian Chamber formed when a Christian business owner could not find other Christian businesses to work with.
- Northeast Florida Christian Chamber was established when two Christian business leaders saw their local chamber publicly supporting candidates who held opposing values and rejected Christian values.
This is a movement
Our nation was built on biblical principles that influenced our Founding Fathers and shaped our laws and culture. As Christian business leaders, we have a responsibility to operate with integrity, prayer, and bold faith. As Patrick said, not only must we pray for God to heal our land, but we must also take a stand.
This commitment to standing firm in our values is driving genuine change. I remember speaking with Wendy Kinney, founder of Revere Payments, when she moved her company from Nevada to Florida. It wasn’t an easy decision, but she wanted her business in a state that aligned with her values. The move is expected to create 100 new jobs in Palm Beach County—an example of how values-driven businesses fuel growth.
This is exactly what we are doing through the US Christian Chamber of Commerce and Christian chambers nationwide—building thriving business communities where Christian entrepreneurs can connect, grow, and advance the Kingdom through commerce.
This is not just good for Kingdom advancement—it’s GREAT for business. As Patrick pointed out, a faith-driven economic environment attracts growth and opportunity. With the San Antonio Christian Chamber expanding and the Texas Christian Chamber launching next week, this movement is moving forward at an unprecedented pace.
I look forward to connecting with you in Dallas and continuing to advance Kingdom Commerce together.
