The difference between a secular and a Christian chamber of commerce

It was an honor to be included in Jacquelyn Lynn’s book, Christian Business Almanac. I check it daily for practical advice and inspiration.

When Jacquelyn interviewed me for the book, one of the things talked about was why Christian businesspeople should join a Christian chamber of commerce. Here’s the article she wrote based on our conversation.

Most businesspeople are aware of the benefits of joining a local chamber of commerce. You can network with other members, develop resources in the community, gain exposure for your business, find new customers, take advantage of educational opportunities, get involved in political and legislative action, and more.

Many areas have an abundance of chambers, including community, city, regional, state, and national chambers. Chambers may also define themselves in other ways, such as faith, ethnicity, market niches, and even lifestyle.

With all those choices, it can be a challenge to decide which chambers are worth your time and money and will benefit you and your company. Why choose a Christian chamber of commerce?

For all the reasons you’d join any chamber, plus the bonus of being part of a community of fellow believers who don’t leave their faith at the door when they go to work.

“We are doing business in a divisive, dark, and broken world. We need people around us to lift us up, pray for us, encourage us,” says Krystal Parker, president of the U.S. Christian Chamber of Commerce.

“A Christian chamber is relevant, necessary, and non-negotiable for Christian business leaders,” Parker says. “We have some of the best businesses, products, services, and thought leaders in their respective industries in our member chambers. We pray for each other and infuse the Holy Spirit into our conversations. We are lifting and supporting one another in our businesses, and as we do that, we are creating Kingdom commerce.”

You’ll find this in the Christian Business Almanac on October 2. For details about this wonderful book and ordering links, visit ChristianAlmanac.com.

And here’s the truth: this movement is accelerating.

More than 1,500 business leaders across the nation have already locked arms with us, and the momentum is just getting started. The impact is real, measurable and growing city by city.

Every movement has a moment when its leaders gather to align, accelerate, and advance. For Christian business, that moment is SWC 2026—a global convergence of CEOs, founders, and entrepreneurs united around Kingdom influence, strategy, and connection.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines, now is the time. SWC 2026 isn’t just another conference—it’s the premier Christian business gathering in America, and it’s happening in Orlando, FL, on April 22–24. This immersive experience is where innovators and Kingdom-driven leaders accelerate their growth, expand their influence, and forge relationships that transform entire cities. Come strengthen your business, ignite your mission, and surround yourself with leaders who refuse to separate faith from work—because this is where the future of Kingdom commerce takes shape.

And here’s the kicker: the conference is already one-third sold. Ticket prices increase on January 1. This is your chance to lock in the lowest price left in 2025 and secure your seat at a movement that’s reshaping the marketplace for God’s glory.

Since it is the season of giving, consider gifting a ticket to SWC 2026 or a membership to a fellow Christian business owner or even one of your suppliers. Imagine your supply chain infused with shared values, prayer, excellence, and Kingdom purpose. That’s how culture shifts—from the inside out.

Let’s keep this momentum building. Help us shape the marketplace for the glory of God. And step into 2026 aligned, equipped, and connected.

This is more than a chamber.

This is a movement.

And we would love for you to be part of it.
